Pseudocyst

The adventures and life of a Specialist Nurse in Upper GI and Bariatric surgery. If you then double and triple this by having a primary school age child AND being married to another Nurse then you have double the trouble….aehm I mean fun. Hobbies are playing chess, board games and being taxi for our son!!!

Lakes, Laughter & Loads of Board Games (Well… Almost)

Just a quick note before I disappear for a week — it’s half term here in Somerset (and across the UK), which means it’s officially time to pack the car, forget something essential, and head off on a family adventure!

We’re off to the Lake District for five days of fresh air, sheep spotting, maybe a paddle in a cold lake (accidental or otherwise), and probably some rain — because what’s a British holiday without a bit of drizzle?

But the holiday doesn’t end there! On the way back, we’re swinging by Birmingham for two nights to visit the UK Games Expo at the NEC — as I may have excitedly mentioned once or twice already. It’s going to be the first time my wife and our son experience the madness, magic, and meeples of the UKGE, and I can’t wait to see what they think. Fingers crossed it’s more “wow, this is amazing!” and less “why are we queuing again?”

The blog will be quiet for a few days while we’re away, but I’ll be back soon with stories from the Lakes, our Games Expo adventures, and probably a few new additions to our board game shelf (birthday present loophole, anyone?).

Stay tuned — updates incoming once the post-holiday laundry is (mostly) under control!
